What data will be collected?
Look - we're all wary these days about how much of our data is scraped and monetised. In all reality, to do that to you would probably make more profit than selling you my photos: but I'm a one-man-band, and not nearly clever enough.
That said, there will be bits and bobs that flow my way through the backend of this website when you use it:
There's nifty little tool which shows me where you click and how long you spend on certain pages. But I'll never know it's YOU specifically. It anonymises user profiles and helps me make a better browsing experience: imagine a shopkeeper spooling through their CCTV to figure out why people keep bumping into the corner of a table and then leaving without buying anything: except there'll be the equivalent of a paper bag over your head in the "footage" I get.
Then there's the blinking obvious - if you place an order with me, I'm going to know where you want me to send your prints. You don't have to tell me whether you live there or not! I'll also have details relating to how you're going to pay me, which, by necessity, will be run through the payment provider, Square, for them to skim off their dues. I did think about gold bullion by carrier pigeon, but I think the RSPB would have something to say about that...
And of course, if you sign up to the email newsletter, then I'll have your name and email address.
How will your data be used?
I'll only ever use your data for the purpose of getting your order to you, or keeping you informed about developments on the site or with my photography journey. There'll be a new print each month on 19th, but I'll give a sneak peek to newsletter subscribers beforehand.
If you're not signed up to the newsletter, then all the emails you're going to get will be strictly business. If you are, but you grow bored of my ramblings, then you'll always be able to give me the shove by unsubscribing.
Some stuff to do with helping me organise myself (like transaction records) will need to be kept for a bit, so I can show HMRC on my tax return.
And if you email me with a query or a complaint, I'll keep a record of it until we're both happy that the issue has been ironed out.

If you need to get in touch with me about any of the above, then the best way to do it is through the Facebook page here.
